Industry Partnership Projects
Several works have been conducted with industry partners, that have been essential for the introduction of the advanced characterization techniques and their validation. The main projects developed are outlined hereunder.
Hyperspectral analysis of 2950 meters of drill cores and 1452 individual samples of dry pulps, using HyLogger 3. Samples were scanned, spectral data analyzed and a correlation between results of powdered samples and drill cores was performed.
Hyperspectral analysis of 144 chips samples, done using HyLogger 3. Currently, the analysis of spectral data is being developed by a student of the Department of Mining Engineering of the University of Chile.
Hyperspectral analysis of 1014 chips samples from drill cores, performed using HyLogger 3. Samples were scanned and spectral data analyzed.
Los Bronces Mine
Hyperspectral analysis for 1210 meters of drill cores, using HyLogger 3. Samples were scanned and spectral data analyzed.
Los Sulfatos Deposit
Hyperspectral analysis for 345 meters of drill cores (done using HyLogger 3) and X-ray diffraction analysis for 40 samples associated with the same cores. To date, the spectral data analysis and XRD are being analyzed by a student from the Department of Geology of the University of Chile.
La Huifa (El Teniente Division)
Hyperspectral analysis of 348 meters of drill cores, performed using HyLogger 3. Samples were scanned and spectral data analyzed. In a second phase, new drill core was analyzed and additional characterisation was performed in order to generate quantitative mineralogy data from spectral measurements.
Hyperspectral analysis of 200 chips samples, sent from Peru. Samples were scanned and spectral data analyzed.
